Honda Civic 2026 Overview



The Honda Civic is a compact sedan with a long history, launched originally in the 1970s. Across its many generations it has transformed from a small economical vehicle into a sophisticated sedan with modern technology and added comfort. Over time towards the tenth generation, Civic brought turbo engines, upscale interior touches, and advanced safety features.

The current generation in Pakistan is an eleventh generation sedan, locally assembled by Honda Atlas, offered in multiple trims to appeal both to buyers wanting efficiency and those wanting more performance and features.

Latest Updates


Eleventh generation Civic was launched in Pakistan in March 2022, introducing three trims: Standard, Oriel, and RS. All use the same 1.5-litre turbocharged engine and (L-15 series) with CVT transmissions. The RS earns extra power and more features.



The facelifted Civic was revealed internationally on 21 May 2024 for the 2025 model year and released on 12 June 2024. Changes included a redesigned front fascia with a new grille, body-coloured trim pieces, new alloy wheel designs, fresh exterior colours, a grey interior option, and infotainment upgraded with Google built-in integration.



Alongside the facelift, Honda also introduced a hybrid powertrain for Civic sedan and hatchback models in North America in 2024, effectively replacing the discontinued Insight (3rd generation). 


This hybrid system has now replaced the 180 hp turbocharged L15 engine and also phased out the older K20C2 engine. These updates, however, are international only and not part of the Civic lineup currently offered in Pakistan

Price and Variants (PKR)

Honda Civic Price in Pakistan depends on variant and trim. Officially available variants include Civic Standard (1.5L Turbo CVT), Civic Oriel (same engine, more features), and Civic RS (tuned more aggressively, with more features and styling). All are offered through Honda’s nationwide dealership network.

Pros and Cons

Pros:


Strong build, refined design compared to some previous generation Civics

Cons:


The Honda Civic remains overpriced in Pakistan, especially when compared to competitors offering similar features at lower cost.
Its design language is more subdued compared to the previous Civic X, which had a bolder and sportier appeal.
Even the top-end RS variant is equipped with only two airbags, which feels limited given the Civic’s premium positioning.


Engine and Performance


All Civic variants in Pakistan use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine matched with CVT transmission. Standard/Oriel produces around 127 hp and 180 Nm torque; RS is tuned higher with ~176 hp and 220 Nm torque.
Drive is front-wheel drive; torque delivery is smooth due to the turbo and CVT setup. RS gets some extra trim-linked styling and possibly more responsive tuning.


Fuel Efficiency / Mileage

Honda Civic Fuel Efficiency in Pakistan is generally between 11-14 km/l under mixed driving conditions. The heavier RS trim and aggressive driving reduce city mileage somewhat. The Standard/Oriel trims tend to perform better in everyday use.

Features and Technology (Interior + Convenience)


RS variant includes ambient lighting (e.g. red ambient lighting in footrest / front doors / centre console), hi-grade interior materials, sunglasses holder, paddle shifters, leather or premium upholstery options.
Oriel and Standard variants share many key features: 9-inch touchscreen infotainment, foldable rear seats with cup holders, center console with cup holders, USB ports, and smart key entry with remote engine start.


Safety

All variants come with safety equipment such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, rear view camera, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill-Assist. RS variant adds Honda Sensing, giving driver assistance features like collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist etc.

Exterior and Interior Styling

Exterior on the RS trim is sportier; more aggressive front bumper, larger or sportier alloy wheels, RS badging, possibly blacked accents, LED headlights/fog lamps. Standard/Oriel have a more conservative but still modern design with alloy wheels (smaller size), projector type halogen lights, and remote retractable mirrors. 

Interior styling differences across trims: RS gets more premium touches, ambient lighting, possibly dual-tone finishes, better upholstery, better comfort seats; Standard has simpler materials.

Civic in Pakistan is offered in several paint finishes including Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Urban Titanium Metallic, Meteoroid Gray, Morning Mist Blue, and Taffeta White. 

Comparisons with Similar Cars

When you compare Honda Civic vs Toyota Corolla, the Civic tends to have more power especially in the RS trim, sharper styling, and more premium features. 

But Corolla offers better fuel efficiency and often lower maintenance costs. In comparison to Honda City, Civic is a step up in size, prestige and performance; City is more affordable but less powerful.

Maintenance and Resale Value in Pakistan

Honda Civic has good resale value, especially RS variants hold price well. Servicing from Honda Atlas is reliable, spare parts are reasonably available though premium trim-features cost more to maintain. The Civic’s turbocharger and electronics mean higher care and maintenance costs than simpler engines.
